Bicyclists hit the trails on Saturday morning, hoping to raise awareness about the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail.
The ride covered fifty-six miles of trail and was organized by DEEP Commissioner Dan Esty. "Biking is one of the most popular sports in the state,” Esty said. “And we've really done a lot to build up the trails and the greenways and this is a chance to highlight what's there and also to highlight the fact that we have a couple of gaps we need to close."
