I-84 Project--4th Open Planning Studio Tomorrow, 9/22, 12-8 pm at Lyceum

9/21/2015

Speak up to make sure active transportation and complete streets are fully integrated into the I-84 project!
>>> You get what you design for. Design with cars as your priority, and you will get cars. Lots of them.

>>> 81% of workers in greater Hartford commute alone by car.  So it's no wonder that news reports confirm what we already knew--CT has some of the worst traffic problems in the country.

>>> When you design for people who bike and walk,  that's what you'll get:  people traveling on foot or by bike instead of by car.  And that helps keep traffic in check.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is hosting its fourth Open Planning Studio on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 12 to 8 p.m. at The Lyceum, 227 Lawrence Street, Hartford. At this event, the I-84 Hartford Project team will provide updates to project alternatives and environmental analyses. We will give presentations at 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Can't make it? This Open Planning Studio is only one of a series of studios taking place throughout 2015. For more information on upcoming events, see the flyer or visit i84hartford.com. Or submit your comments via http://i84hartford.com/contact.php.
